Max Arthur is running for Sands & John King Brain Tumour Foundation – Do show your support for Max who is taking part in the Richmond Marathon on Sunday 13th September and raising funds for two amazing charities.
John King Brain Tumour Foundation:
In 2021, my father-in-law received a devastating brain cancer diagnosis that rocked our family. Throughout the duration of his treatment journey, Richard started to work with the JKBTF around their projects to improve the wellbeing, prospects and outcomes for other brain tumour patients and their families.
Devastatingly Richard lost his battle with his brain tumour in 2024, but we will continue his legacy in raising funds for Laura King and the team at JKBTF and improve Brain Tumour research, care and rehabilitation starting at St George’s Tooting and beyond.
SANDS:
In 2025, one of my close friends went through the heart-breaking loss of their newborn baby. Whilst nothing could heal the pain him and his partner were dealing with; he assured me that Sands had been some comfort to them both during their grief. Sands was the charity they suggested I raise for so that other families might also find some support.
