As part of the Neuro Walkers’ initiative to raise funds for the John King Brain Tumour Foundation their London City Tour went ahead on Saturday 12th September raising an additional £320 to the thousands they have already raised for the charity, and it was a great day.

They learnt so much along the way, and it was lovely to see staff coming together outside of work, spending a few hours enjoying each other’s company while discovering more about London, while supporting the Charity.

The guided city tour was led by their dedicated Intensive Care Specialist Nurse, Chris Brunker who has been a great supporter of the Neuro Walkers charity walks over the years. Recently retired, Chris is now a City of London tour guide and shares his extensive knowledge of the city’s rich history, culture, and hidden gems that often go unnoticed.

Chris generously gives his time to lead these tours for the Neuro Walkers free of charge. They keep the group to a maximum of 15 people so that the tour remains enjoyable and manageable. Instead of paying Chris a fee, everyone secures their place by donating to the John King Brain Tumour Foundation. Chris also starts the tour by explaining that they are there to support the Foundation, which is a lovely way to keep the charity at the heart of the day.
